Nestled in the rice paddies of Kerobokan on the edge of Seminyak, Villa Du Bah is a traditional yet elegant three-bedroom getaway. The unique Javanese style has been recreated in this top Bali location and complemented with a sleek design, whitewashed furniture, pale timber and a modern, luxurious interior.

The three bedrooms and living room are enclosed in Joglo-style pavilions that overlook a sparkling aquamarine pool, giving you a beautiful mix of Indonesian tradition and contemporary luxury. Villa Du Bah is the perfect place for friends or a small family looking for a serene retreat without being too far from the excitement.

Guests can head out on the town or choose to spend the holiday peacefully dwelling within the property with a range of personal chefs, masseurs and trainers to take care of their needs. Living Area

The largest of the three Joglos contains the living and dining areas. This open-plan room was crafted with local wood and provides guests with pleasing views of the garden and pool area. The living area invites both the sunlight and a cooling breeze in, making it the perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying your morning coffee on one of the lounge chairs.

Outside you’ll find comfortable seating area where you can enjoy refreshing beverages in between dips in the beautiful rectangular pool. You can easily remain seated in the shade while supervising youngsters in the swimming pool. In the evening, guests can shut the curtains and enjoy a good book or snuggle on the large comfortable sofa. There’s also a flat-screen TV and DVD player if you want to enjoy a film or put something on for the kids.

To the left of the lounge area is a dining table that accommodates six people and provides a lush setting for sharing meals together. Hanging from the high ceiling and illuminating the dining area is a handcrafted shell chandelier made by local tradesman. Combined with the long brass hanging lamps, this lights the space with exactly the right level of ambience.

If you get sick of the myriad of restaurants on offer, the brand new kitchen contains everything you’d need to put together a little home cooked meal, you’ll just need to visit a local supermarket or ask the staff to stock the cupboards with the food of your choice. It also comes with a coffee-maker, a water distiller and a toaster.

3 Bedrooms

The bedroom suites at Villa Du Bah are simply gorgeous. Tucked away in the ultra private Joglo-style cottages you’ll find three adorable little havens that exude a chic aesthetic while providing maximum comfort.

The four-poster, king-sized beds are adorned with high quality linens and soft furnishings in neutral tones. There are extra pillows for your absolute comfort. Around the beds are curtains, which you can close to enjoy extra privacy. The sliding glass doors allow a lot of natural light into the bedrooms during the day, while also giving you gorgeous glimpses of the pool and garden.

The bedroom walls are built with the same white washed wood from the living area, creating a peaceful ambience that is completed by occasional pieces of traditional art. Of course, all of the bedrooms are fully air-conditioned so you can take shelter on hot days. The rooms each have a private ensuite bathroom that’s fitted with a modern rainfall shower. Each was purpose built to please the seasoned traveler.

Staff

As with any luxury property in Bali, your stay will be made extra special with the warm hospitality of the staff at Villa Du Bah. Along with a daily housekeeper who will keep things picture-perfect, you’ll also be looked after by the villa manager. Villa Du Bah is in a prime location. Nestled amongst tranquil ricefields, you’ll get the serene Bali experience you were dreaming of without sacrificing any of the fun. The villa is located in Kerobokan, a district that’s conveniently located in the middle of Bali’s hottest spots. You’re only 15-minutes away from Seminyak and its high-end boutiques and swanky beach bars.

Jalan Petitenget is also only a 15-minute car ride away, where you can indulge in numerous restaurants such as La Sicilia for Italian, or Bambu for traditional Indonesian food with a modern flare. Canggu and its world-class surf breaks (and charming cafés) is also a mere 15-minute car ride away. You really couldn’t be in a better spot to enjoy the breadth of experiences Bali has to offer.
