Overview

Quietly positioned down a small private gang, the arched entrance of Villa Yang welcomes guests to this Mediterranean-inspired dream escape, dressed in white with Balinese influences. Stepping through wooden doors, discover ample plush ivory sofas and dining for 10, with a 4-seat breakfast island and fully equipped kitchen. On leaving the enclosed air-conditioned living and dining spaces, this first level boasts a media room with comfy sofas, chairs, an enormous TV, with office workspaces, and an adjacent reading room. Hereto is a powder room ensuring no time is wasted if nature calls. On this level is the pool, sun loungers, relaxation bale, and a terrace hideaway to lose oneself in a book, plus two bedrooms and the master suite. Downstairs are two more bedrooms, a tranquil spa, a spacious indoor yoga shala, that surveys the alfresco dining space, and a cascading water feature, all surrounded by lawns and tropical gardens.

Living, Dining, and Kitchen

Plush sofas make up the right-side corner of the living and dining pavilion as guests enter the villa, with views over the aqua pool, lavish sun loungers, and bamboo fields beyond. The indoor dining table with ten chairs is positioned to the left of the entrance, neatly next to the breakfast island for ease of service, with the kitchen nestled at the back. The entire area is adorned in a soothing palette of light pastel creams, beiges, and warm tans, creating an ambiance of understated elegance. Gazing upwards, decorative modern Bali-style chandeliers hang from ceilings complementing the white-painted atap wood roof tiles, which infuse the villa with the BaliMed architectural atmosphere. Sliding doors lead to the pool terrace, media room, and the three first-floor bedrooms.

Accommodation

Each of the five bedrooms are decorated in light cream and brown fabrics, full-length mirrors, ample closets for folded and hanging clothes, with a discreet storage solution for luggage. A thoughtful well-organized work space is also included. Each of the elegant ensuite bathrooms feature vintage-inspired copper rain and handheld showers and wash basin taps, blue and cream designer tiles, and tastefully simple steel hangers to hold towels and lavatory rolls, completing the overall sense of sophistication and functionality.

Master bedroom

At the secluded far end of the first-floor terrace, the master bedroom entrance features a wood bench and cute table suitable as a workstation. Walking into the bedroom, the king-size bed takes center stage, facing out over sliding doors leading to an expansive semi-circular daybed-covered balcony, offering these guests sublime comfort and privacy. The huge ensuite bathroom spans the width of this bedroom, accessible on either side of the bed. It boasts double basins, a generously sized shower, and a standalone bathtub.

First Floor Bedrooms

Two almost identical bedrooms sit side-by-side on the first-floor terrace, featuring queen-size beds, that face out towards the pool and gardens below. Take one step up to the workspace and cupboards, then enter into the ensuite bathrooms each with generously-sized showers and a standalone bath, both with the trademark Villa Yang bathroom blue & cream tile floors.

Descend stairs by the indoor dining room, where two more bedrooms are positioned left and right, overlooking the lawn, fish ponds, and gardens.

Ground Floor Twin Bedroom

The twin bedroom can easily be transformed into a double bed configuration, it offers an unobstructed view of the meticulously maintained lawn and alfresco dining area. Its ensuite bathroom is equipped with a single basin, a shower, and a lavatory, providing the essentials for a comfortable stay.

Ground Floor Queen bedroom

To the left of the stairs is the fifth bedroom, complete with a queen-size bed and a charming ensuite bathroom. The design and amenities in this bathroom echo the style and comfort found in the first-floor bedrooms, ensuring a delightfully consistent experience for guests.

Media Room

Next to the indoor dining room is the media room, thoughtfully designed with cosy sofas and chairs facing the multi-channel 60” TV, with an expansive window sofa for additional comfort and style. This room features an office space for two, with a seperate cubby hole acting as a reading room or library with another two chairs, where two friends could set the world to rights. In the far corner of the room is a single powder room.

Pool Terrace & Private Cactus Terrace

The aqua blue pool is 8m long, 5m wide, 1.30m deep, scaling up to 30cm in the shallow end. Opposite, four luxurious sun loungers, complemented with mattress neck support, lie with two cream and tan sun umbrellas. In the far corner of the pool terrace is a cute shaded bale with a deep mattress and plenty of cushions, an ideal spot for sun-averse guests. Between the media room and the first bedroom is a small cactus oasis with two chairs creating another perfect spot to read a book, yet still be connected to poolside ambiance.

Spa

Two spa beds lie together, facing the small sitting room that doubles as a reception or gossip corner. Curtains can be drawn, offering a sense of privacy. A built-in bath plus shower at the back of the spa offers tired muscles a soothing soak before indulging in a rejuvenating massage.

Yoga Shala

Beneath the master bedroom sits the yoga shala, designed to comfortably host 12 people, with plenty of space to move. Wooden doors open out onto the lawn, as do the glass doors at the back, providing an immersive experience with melodies of trickling water and breezy bamboo from the stream that passes the property. This room comes fully equipped, with yoga mats, wood blocks, and other yoga paraphernalia.

Gardens

The first-floor terraces boast a vibrant blend of multi-colored bougainvillea in shades of red, white, and purple. In due course, the flowers will gracefully cascade over the balcony edges, and other spaces herald desert cactus and yucca. Downstairs, a tropical green garden frames the property, featuring palms, monstera, dieffenbachia, heliconia, giant taro, and a whole host of flora that blends with the outer wall landscape of bamboo and Bali countryside. A gentle stream meanders past the property, its melody blending with the rustling leaves, creating a peaceful and meditative scene. Between the twin room and alfresco dining pavilion, a water feature plunges into a small pond.

Events & Retreats

Villa Yang is the perfect sanctuary to host health and wellness retreats. The villa caters to intimate weddings, providing a picturesque setting on the lawns, while the yoga shala presents flexible rain-or-shine options regardless of the weather. With the combination of the shala, spa, accommodation, and private chef, teams can curate and organize small events to perfection. A garden side door offers event organizers private access without disturbing guests.

Staff

The villa is serviced by a villa manager, supervisor, two butlers, two housekeeping, a private chef, a gardener, and pool attendants, guaranteeing seamless stays. Access points near the entrance allow staff to quietly attend to the villa without distracting guests. The villa supervisor greets guests while ensuring staff are readily available to satisfy guest’s needs while keeping the place in immaculate condition. The villa manager pops by to check in on guests, too. He is a veritable treasure trove of information, always on hand to assist with tours, reservations, translations, and any other requests. Location

Villa Yang is part of an affluent villa enclave set back from the bustling main road in Padonan, North Canggu. This area offers guests exceptional convenience, providing easy access to all corners of Canggu while avoiding traffic congestion. Maneuvering through Canggu, Umalas, and onwards to Seminyak, Jimbaran, and Uluwatu is a breeze too. As this area gains popularity, an array of charming cafes and eateries are constantly popping up. Additionally, just a short distance from the villa is one of the largest Pepito supermarkets, complete with a pharmacy and bakery, should the villa require provisions, although the staff are always at guest service to assist with shopping needs. This exceptional location also means the hubs of Berawa, Batubolong, Echo, Seseh, and Cemagi are close, yet despite accessibility to these lively hot spots, Villa Yang remains a quiet sanctuary, offering respite from all the noise and action.
